Outline:
This lecture series is the first half of a general introduction to Japanese history, from ancient times to modern days, using an historical overview approach for learning.
Students will acquire cultural understanding and fundamental skills required as a full-fledged members of society, by covering, and learning about such things as the characteristics of each period, relationships between historical phenomena, and historical turning points. This series gives an overview of developments, from ancient times when Japan was called “Wa,” to the socialist society of Japan that was created amid its connections in East Asia, to various systems and domestic industries built upon acquired culture and technology moving through medieval times.
Style:
Classes will be conducted using worksheets, textbooks, and supplementary materials.
Notice:
Course progress and details may change according to the level of understanding of the students. Can take makeup exam in need aid up to maximum of 50 points.
