Course Objectives
Uses a wide range of media (TV programs, animated films, comic books, newspapers, magazine articles, local government PR, etc.) to analyze Japanese society as an exchange student. To provide exchange students who cannot fully utilize the resouces around them in order to understand Japanese society the means to do so. Furthermore, to develop the ability to transmit information in Japanese based on the knowledge acquired from the lessons. To instill an interest in the students as a means to analyze modern Japanese society while covering a variety of themes.

Teaching Method
Outline:
Acquire an attitude of grasping one theme from as many angles as possible.
Let's reexamine the knowledge we already have about Japanese society and our fixed view of our own culture.
Develop the ability to compose what you want to say as a cohesive discourse.
Style:
Lectures and exercises by the instructor. Since the class emphasizes communication, the class format is mainly two-way communication between teachers and students, and one-way lectures between teachers and students are about 30%. Incorporate as many learning methods as possible to guide students' active learning.
