中学校と高専1年での既習事項をもとに、日常生活・学校生活などで適切な表現を用いて、身の回りのことについて説明するなどコミュニケーションをとることができる。実用英語検定準2級合格をめざす。

概要:
Classes will be team-taught by a Japanese teacher and a native English speaker. Students should try to speak English helping each other instead of depending on Japanese. The overall aim of this class is to learn the two sides to every discussion and try to express his/her opinion with a clear reason, no matter who may or may not agree with it. Also, students should do their best to develop basic communication skills by building vocabulary and grammatical sentence patterns.
授業の進め方・方法:
The emphasis is on listening and speaking English in the classroom, and students are required to express their opinions in an activity such as pair work and group work. This class provides an opportunity to study with a native English teacher. Students are expected to have a positive attitude to listening, speaking, and writing English.
注意点:
Students are supposed to attend the class and hand in assignments without fail.
Students are required to study in order to acquire the ability to pass Grade Pre-2 of the Eiken Test in Practical English Proficiency.
