This course will provide students with opportunities to discuss and present their ideas about current topics. In addition to focusing on improving students' English skills, a significant amount of time will be spent on developing critical thinking and writing skills
概要:
【Period of Study, Classes per Week】Spring Semester, 2 classes/week Summer Semester, 2 classes/week
Students will be taught by both a native English teacher, and a Japanese English teacher. In both cases, students will be asked to think, discuss, and write about topics that are pertinent to the student, and will help them as they progress to higher education or to the work place.
授業の進め方・方法:
Each class a new and current topic will be introduced and the students will study it, as well as discuss and write about the topic. Opinion sharing and critical thinking are needed to succeed in this class.
注意点:
Active participation during classes is expected. Students will be required to discuss, think and write about the topics. Attendance is also an important aspect to the students final grade
