４年次までに学んできた英語の知識を復習しながら，英語によるコミュニケーション能力を高めることを目的とする。特に，英語ニュースが聞き取れるリスニング能力の向上を図る。
概要:
ニュースの英単語・英文章を正確に聞き取れることができる。自分の意見について英作文&ショートスピーチができる。
授業の進め方・方法:
課題となるニュースを聴き，理解を問う問題を解き，要約文を完成させる。
ニュースのトピックに関するクリティカルシンキング問題に答えながら，ショートスピーチを作成する。
注意点:
事前に付録のＤＶＤを視聴し，各ＵＮＩＴのニュースで使われている単語検索には英英辞典を活用しながら，ニュースの内容を正確に理解することが重要である。
