The goal of this course is to understand the basic principles and usage of measurement devices by learning measurement methods for electromagnetic quantities such as voltage, current, resistance, and impedance, measurement errors, noise handling, units and standards.

概要:
In this course, students learn about the significance of measurement and its relationship with quantitative measurement, the factors of measurement error and statistical processing, and deepen their understanding of the importance of measurement. Students also learn the principles, properties, and measurement methods of various electromagnetic quantities used in electrical and electronic engineering, which has been the foundation of industrial development since the beginning of modern times.
授業の進め方・方法:
This is a lecture-style class. The courses are mainly conducted using blackboard, but supplemental materials and charts may be shown on slides.
A confirmation quiz and questionnaire will be given after each class.
The percentage of the total evaluation are 80% for the examinations, 10% for the submitted works, and 10% for the understanding of the class. A score of 50 or more in the overall evaluation will be pass.
The examination will be held four times during semesters. During each semesters, we will conduct mid-term and finals.
The average score of the tests will be calculated as the final score.
Each examination will consist of questions that will enable to check the achievement objectives of the Model Core Curriculum.
Submission works and understanding of the class will be evaluated based on the submission rates and qualities of after-class confirmation quizzes, revision exercises, and other assignments.
注意点:
This is a required course for Chief Electrical Engineer certification.
The re-examination will be held once to those who have scored less than 50 points in the overall evaluation at the end of the school year.
However, those who score less than 50% on the evaluation of their submission works and understanding of the class will not be able to take the re-examination.

事前・事後学習、オフィスアワー

Before the class, students are expected to look over the content of textbook you will learn next.
Students are also expected to do self-study after the class using the end-of-chapter questions in the textbook, study-aid books or exercise books available in the library, and the assignments handing out in the class.
Office hours are from 15:00 to 17:00 on the day of class and otherwise when the teacher is in the room.
