概要:
Students will learn about the characteristics of sociology based on action theory. In addition, we will use sociological concepts such as social interaction, status and role, role distance, and deviance to study the mechanisms by which social order is maintained even in modern and contemporary societies, which are becoming increasingly diverse. In addition, we will attempt to analyze various problems in modern society using sociological concepts. Students will then think about these issues on their own and express their ideas in their own words.
授業の進め方・方法:
Handouts will be distributed as appropriate, and the class will basically proceed in a lecture format. Students are required to submit a reaction paper for each class, and feedback will be provided at the next class to share and discuss the contents. In addition, since this course is a credit course, students are required to prepare and review for a total of at least 180 minutes for each 90-minute class period, using handouts, books, and web-based materials.
注意点:
The issues discussed in this course are ongoing problems, and there are various news stories about them every day, so students should be sensitive to the news. Note that students taking this course cannot take Sociology B.
