Teaching Method

Outline:
Environmental technology consists not only of technology, but also various segments such as the framework of laws, international treaties, international relations and so on. We will outline environmental problems with a broad perspective and aim to develop the ability to propose appropriate technology, especially using
chemical knowledge.
Style:
Lecture and exercises. If possible, we plan to incorporate lectures by those who are actually involved in environmental and environmental research.
We will conduct classes using textbooks, but we may ask students for investigations if necessary.
Notice:
0) This course is almost half of the unit certification (passed) in the past several years. Please attend lectures while being conscious of acquiring a 'way of thinking' about environmental science.
1) Laws and regulations are important for understanding environmental technologies. If possible, we recommend that you take "Law" in the first semester.
2) We will also deal with the history of pollution. In particular, Toyama has a history of itai-itai disease, so remember the information you learned at junior high school, etc.
3) Please try to fully cover newspaper reports on environmental issues and environmental technologies, etc.
