Course Objectives
To increase knowledge about international business practices throgh reading essays, and to imporve reading and writing skills of English by doing exerciese in the textbook

Assigned Department Objectives
Teaching Method
Outline:
- Main foci of this class are to improve the students' reading and writing skills. Also, through the material, students can understand some situations where cultural differences may cause troubles between Japanese people and non-Japanese people in business
Style:
- Basically a lecture-type lesson led by the teacher. - Students study each unit in 2-3 lessons: (i) essay reading + reading comprehension quiz; (ii) English composition with the text practice and extra practices. - After each unit, a vocabulary quiz and a listening quiz are given. - Some homework assignments are also given after each unit.
Notice:
- The students should prepare for each lesson (which page to cover in each lesson is announced in advance). - Keep the deadline of assignments. - Students can get a credit of this class by taking 60 points as a final grade. Any student whose final point is less than 60 can take an makeup exam, upon request, in need aid up to maximum of 60 points.
