Course Objectives

1. To learn to choose the appropriate career path and to actually act to do so, based on the expertise and the skills that have been learnt so far.
2. To learn to do the research activities independently, based on the expertise and the skills that have been learnt so far.
3. To become active and independent seekers of knowledge through the activities for future career and the research activities.

Teaching Method

Outline:
This course continues to focus not only on career path guidance but also on the aquisition of skills and methods used for starting thesis research activities. This latter is the major focus in 'Bijiness Seminar II'.
Style:
The activities in this course take place mostly in professors' senimar room. The students are required to take part in the questionnair survey to choose the appropriate research areas and the professor who is to supervise them and to expected to work independently under the consultation with his or her supervisor, once they have been determined.
Notice:
A close and honest communication between the student and his or her supervisor, since it will be a long-term relationship lasting longer than a year. The students are to be evaluated on a presentation of the research result and an original report of more than 5 pages long AND more than 5,000 Japanese characters at the end of the course.

2nd Orientation to 'a Job Research Tour in the Tokyo Area' Able to understand the aim and the significance of the Tour.
3rd Participation in 'Mid-ter Presentation for a Thesis Research' by the 5th graders. To understand the process of the Thesis Research activities and how it is to be presented.
