Outline:
In this course, you will learn about principles of the navigational instruments that you use for measuring direction, range, water depth, the ship's speed, altitude and you use for steering, and handling notice of navigational instruments.
Style:
This class consists of lectures and homework.
Notice:
・Required subject (training institute of ship officer) for licensed mariner of 3rd grade (navigation)
  This course is 1 credit "Navigational Instruments" in 15 credits about "Navigation".
・Final evaluation (100%) = Regular exam (75%) + Homework (25%)
・The recognition of credit requires 60 points or more rating. A person who has a rating of less than 60 points may be subjected to an approval test by request. As the result of the approval test, the evaluation is made to be 60 points in the person who the mastery of the unit is recognized.

2nd Magnetic compass (1) Understandig principles, structure and handling notice of Magnetic compass
3rd Magnetic compass (2) Understandig causes and changes of the error of Magnetic compass (MC), and measurement by MC
4th Echo sounder Undestanding principles and handling notice of Echo sounder
5th Autopilot (1) Understanding principles, each function block and handling notice of Autopilot
6th Autopilot (2) Understandig adjustments and performace evaluation of Autopilot
