Teaching Method

Outline:
Students understand the basic concept of maritime traffic and the contents of special maritime traffic laws in Japan, and acquire the knowledge necessary for officers.
Students recognize the obligation and need to comply with laws and regulations, and to acquire appropriate judgment based on the law.
Style:
Lectures by teachers alone are conducted.
Notice:
This lecture is a subject that needs to be taken by students on Nautical Science Course.
If you don't get the credits for this lecture, you cannot graduate.
It is evaluated comprehensively by the periodic exam (about 70%), the report task and small exam (about 30%).
Can take makeup exam in need aid up to maximum of 60 points.

5th Rules for Maritime Traffic Safety (5) Can explain Navigation Rule on west area of Bisanseto Traffic Route

11th Port Regulations (3) Can explain the general navigation near the fairway and the breakwater and entrance of port.
12th Port Regulations (4) Can understand specific navigationl rule and port traffic control system.
13th Port Regulations (5) Can explaine the rules for inbound / outbound and anchoring.
14th Port Regulations (6) Can explain the handling and transport of dangerous goods in a port, the maintenance of waterways, and the rules on lighting.
