The purpose of this course is to prepare students for increased success in taking the TOEIC test . They will learn vocabulary and grammar found in the test, and practice a variety of question types. Moreover, this course endeavours to get students into the habit of regular, methodical study to maximize their success.

概要:
This course will focus on building students' knowledge of vocabulary and grammar for taking the TOIEC test successfully.
授業の進め方・方法:
Each week will begin with a quiz based on vocabulary and grammar studied the previous week, and then assigned homework will be collected. Following that, students will take the mini TOEIC tests offered in their textbooks. Various grammatical points found in the textbooks will be discussed, and strategies for more efficient test-taking will be suggested.
注意点:
Students will be expected to regularly review and commit to memory a large amount of vocabulary and grammar. They should be commited to devoting a significant amount of time to the study of English for the TOIEC test.
There will be no make-up quizes for students who are absent or who are late to class and miss the quiz.
A dictionary is necessary for studying a foreign language. Students should bring one to every class.
Homework will be collected at the start of class only. Students who are absent can turn it in up to 2 days after the class at which it was due.
Homework marks fall under the heading of "Portfolio". It will graded as follows:
Student never forgets to do homework: 20%
Student fails to do homework 1 or 2 times: 16%
Student fails to do homework 3 or 4 times: 12%
Student fails to do homework 5 times: 8%
Student fails to do homework 5 or more times: 4%
