教育方法等
概要:
1. To further develop English speech creation and oratory ability by studying effective techniques such as outline progression, eye-contact, gestures, etc., and by engaging to two formal speech contests.
2. To learn practical and useful words, phrases and expressions complimentary to oratory ability.

The following content conforms to the learning and educational goals: (A)<Perspective> [JABEE Standard 1(1)(a)], and (C)<English> [JABEE Standard 1(1)f].

<到達目標の評価方法と基準>
Students’ ability to crete English-language speeches and successfully compete in English-langauge speech contests will be evaluated through participation in two speech contests. Students will have attained the goal of this course provided that they have earned 60% of the total points possible which includes the two speech contests.
<学業成績の評価方法および評価基準>
Students are required to give two formal speeches. Students will be given weekly assignments, such as, topic selection and speech outline and script updates. Failure to meet the deadlines for these assignments will result in a 10% reduction of the final grade—for each infraction. .
<単位修得要件>
Students must obtain at least 60% of the total possible points in order to receive 1 credit.
<あらかじめ要求される基礎知識の範囲>
A practical level of English speech script creation techniques and formal English speech giving experience.
<レポートなど> Students are required to obtain an email account which can send and receive Word and PowerPoint documents. The total time necessary for students to acquire an understanding of the course is 45 hours, including classroom time and study time outside of the classroom.
