Teaching Method
Outline:
We will set a production specification according to JIS valve standards for the stop valve, calculate the strength of the major parts, and create the production drawing. The objective is to acquire the basic knowledge and sense necessary for design, and to become proficient in drafting rules through these processes.
An instructor who has been engaged in the design of mold and dedicated machine at the engineering department of a sheet metal parts manufacturer will use their experience to teach the design and drafting of ball valves.
Style:
Classes will be taught in a lecture style.
(Liaison: Naoki Matsuzuka)
Notice:
Try to understand the correlation between actual goods and drawings. Also, pursue a design drawing that is acceptable in real-world use. In principle, students won't receive the credit unless all of the assignments have been submitted.
Students who miss 1/4 or more of classes will not be eligible for a passing grade.
