Teaching Method

Outline:
Given that we live in a modern society, understanding modern history is absolutely imperative. The aim of this course is to understand the history of Middle East, Africa, Europe, and Asia, including Japan, in the 19th and 20th centuries, and clarify the history of current events in the world.
Style:
Classes will be carried out using materials such as videos, and historical sources. Handouts, etc. will be distributed as needed, but students should have their textbooks and notebooks ready for each class. Students are expected to self-study, and independently think and learn from history.
Notice:
Students who miss 1/3 or more of classes will not be eligible for evaluation.
