Course Objectives

(1) To accomplish learning related laws and regulations that will be necessary for many years for a civil engineering engineer, become familiar with the terms of laws and regulations and firmly learn the basic matters of related laws and regulations.
(2) Learn to be insightful for problem areas when problems arise, and learn how to manage them. Improve speaking skills (being persuasive), and the ability compile reports.

Outline:
Knowledge of related laws and regulations is essential in the actual practice. This is true for engineering in general. In particular, knowledge of laws and regulations is required in civil engineering, because it is closely related to administrative issues (country, prefecture, city, etc.). The main contents are the overview, the law and system relating to land, the law and system relating to urban development, the law and system relating to construction, the law and system relating to environmental protection, etc.
This course will be held in a lecture style, and taught by an instructor who was in charge of construction administration in Akashi City. The instructor will use one's experience to teach about laws and regulations relating to construction.

Notice:
Take an interest in environmental issues normally and often, and take care to collect various kinds of information in order to create and maintain a better living environment. Take care to become familiar with legal terms, and to certainly learn the basic matters of related laws and regulations. This course's content will amount to 90 hours of study in total. These hours include the learning time guaranteed in classes and the standard self-study time required for pre-study / review, and completing assignment reports.
Students who miss 1/3 or more of classes will not be eligible for a passing grade.
