(1) Can explain the connection between human health and environment based on the history of pollution cases that occurred in the past.
(2) Can explain the water supply roles, types, water planning, and unit operation of water purification.
(3) Can explain the wastewater roles, types, wastewater planning, basics for biological treatment, and sludge treatment.
Outline:
The development of water supply and wastewater systems is essential for the sound development of the city, the improvement of public health, the improvement of the living environment and the preservation of water quality in public areas. In this lecture, students will learn the basic matters of the management and maintenance of a sound water environment by understanding the history of water and wastewater systems, the purpose and role of modern water and wastewater systems, the design methods of facilities, water quality standards and items, and the principles of water treatment.
Style:
Classes are taught in a lecture-style format. Prepare calculators for the exercises.
Notice:
This course's content will amount to 90 hours of study in total. These hours include the learning time guaranteed in classes and the standard self-study time required for pre-study / review, and completing assignment reports.
Students who miss 1/3 or more of classes will not be eligible for evaluation.
