概要:
学生が卒業後，就職や進学の場で，英語でコミュニケーションを図ることが必要となる。与えられたテーマについて役立つ表現を学び，speakingとlisteningを中心とした言語活動を通じて，やさしい英語を用いて自分が伝えたい内容を積極的に表現できる能力を身につける。
授業の進め方・方法:
英語で話す力を伸ばすために，与えられたテーマについて，ペアやグループでディスカッションを行う。モデルとなる英語を聞き，理解する力を伸ばすために，listeningや dictationにも取り組む。 また，プレゼンテーションの原稿を作成し，発表評価基準に基づいたプレゼンテーションを行う。

学習指針：授業中，コミュニケーション活動へ積極的に参加し，英語運用能力の向上に努める。
自己学習：目標を達成するためには，英語の授業以外に，テレビやインターネットの英語ニュース番組，映画鑑賞などを通じて，楽しみながら継続的に実践的英語力を磨くことを心がける。
