The aim of this course is not just to understand the written English in the textbook but to express your opinion in English based on what is provided in the textbook. In order to do that, you must make efforts to improve your listening and speaking ability as well as critical thinking.

概要:
Over the course of the term, you will be responsible for a variety of spoken communication tasks such as interviewing, talking to your peers, or making a speech and presentation in class. You must prepare for the class each week to be able to speak your opinion.
授業の進め方・方法:
The course provides practice in four main areas:
1) Building and using vocabulary
2) Developing listening skills by using CDs and Videos
3) Exploring spoken English including pair work and group work activities
4) Expressing your opinion based on supportive data
注意点:
This course is designed for self-motivated students who are interested in actively taking charge of improving English skills. You can expect to see improvement in your speaking and critical thinking only if you come to class regularly.
At the end of the semester, you will take TOEIC-IP L&R Test. If you obtain more than 500points or your score is higher than the previous TOEIC test by 100points, certain points are added to your final grade.
