Course Objectives

Objectives: To cultivate historical thinking by analyzing the structural characteristics of Japanese politics, diplomacy, economics, and society in the first half of the 20th century in the context of the relationship between imperialization and nationalism, and to acquire a perspective on contemporary international society in the midst of globalization.

Course outline :By studying the history of Japan in the first half of the 20th century from the point of view of the correlation between imperialization and nationalism, we aim to acquire knowledge that will guide us as we live in the future, and to develop our humanity from a global perspective.
Style:
Course method : Students should be able to construct a coherent picture of the content of the objectives indicated in the textbooks and supplementary handouts.

Grade evaluation method :Examinations 4 times a year 100% (25% x 4) In principle, students are not allowed to bring their own documents to the regular examinations. However, students may be allowed to bring in their own notes, etc., only when there are situations in which proactive preparation is deemed necessary in order to measure the level of achievement.
