Relation with JABEE programs: The main goals of learning / education in this class are " (F)",also "(B)" is involved.
Course outline: The students learn in order of the contents and grammar of a textbook, and perform the expression activities of speaking and writing. Moreover, the students improve their skills and the ability of self-evaluation.
Class outline: Read the material, summarize the gist of it in English, and practice communicating it orally to others.
Style:
Course method: This course starts in the first semester. Students read aloud the text, summarize the abstract in English, and present their findings in English. Students take five quizzes.
Grade evaluation method: The results of the two regular examinations are averaged out (50%). Students are graded on the basis of the results of the examinations, assignments, quizzes, and presentations (50%).
Students are not allowed to bring textbooks and notebooks to the examinations. In some cases, the student may be required to retake the exam.

Attendance advice : Students are expected to participate in the classes. Students are expected to bring their textbooks and English-Japanese dictionaries to class. There are quizzes in class and you must attend them.
Tardiness: Arriving late to class 20 minutes after the start of the class is counted as an absence from the class.
