Course Objectives
Learning purposes : This class aims to cultivate the fundamental ability to be aware of the responsibility as an engineer by concretely examining ethical issues of the modern society and by historically understanding ethical ideas.

2.To understand global issues and their backgroud by taking environmental issues, energy issues, north-south issues, population issues, etc. as examples.

Course outline : In this course, we will specifically examine various ethical issues related to modern society, such as bioethics and environmental ethics.
Style:
Course method : This class basically develops the contents of ethics while using its textbook.
Grade evaluation method : The results of four regular examinations are averaged and evaluated (100%). At each regular examination, there will be an assignment to judge the achievement of the above mentioned goals. Textbooks and notebooks will not be allowed on the regular examinations. As a rule, there will be no conduct retaking exams.
Notice:
Precautions on the enrollment : Students must take this class (no more than one-fifth of the required number of class hours missed) and earn the credit in order to complete the 1st year course.
