Course Objectives

Learning purposes :
The purpose of the course is to develop listening and speaking skills so that the students will be able to take specialized courses without the support of teachers so that they can live their student life in our school without any problems. Another purpose is to deepen students' understanding of Japanese culture and manners.

2. To be able to communicate smoothly with people around you in Japanese.
3. To be able to exchange opinions and make presentations in Japanese.

Course outline :
This is a Japanese language listening and conversation class for international students in their second year.
Students will improve their listening and speaking skills so that they can understand the lessons of their major subject without the support of the instructor, and if they do not understand, they will go to the instructor to ask questions and improve their listening and speaking skills so that they can communicate in Japanese without problems.
By the end of the school year, students will learn to acquire listening skills equivalent to JLPT N2.
Style:
Course method:
The students will expand their Japanese vocabulary and expressions using materials prepared by the teacher. Students will also develop their ability to debate and present in Japanese, which will be required as they advance through the grades, by exchanging opinions on topics prepared by the teacher. At the same time, the Shinkanzenmaster series will be used to prepare students for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test.

Grade evaluation method :
Exam (80%) + Mini tests (10%) + attendance and study attitude (10%).
A score of 60 or higher is considered a passing score, and retests will be given if necessary.

Precautions on the enrollment :
This course is required for completion of the 2nd year of the course (absences must be less than one-third of the prescribed number of class hours).

Course advice :
It is desirable for students to have reached JLPT N3 level in advance. Since there is a large amount of content to be learned, students are encouraged to prepare and review on a daily basis so that they do not miss anything. We will make every effort to provide education and information that will help students develop an interest in Japanese language and culture, but we also hope that students themselves will develop an interest in Japanese language and culture and attend classes.

Attendance advice :
If you are late for class, you will be considered tardy for up to 20 minutes and absent for the rest of the class.
Students are expected to participate actively in class and submit assignments on time.
Get into the habit of looking up words you don't understand.
There is a possibility that the textbook and the contents of the class will be changed depending on the situation of the students.
