3. Develop strategies and attitudes conducive to further study of German.
本科目は，第二外国語としてドイツ語に初歩から取り組む学生がドイツ語の基礎的語彙と文法を学び，簡単なドイツ語を運用する能力を身につけることを目的としている。また，ドイツ語圏の文化や社会についての知識を深めることで，教養と異文化に対する理解を涵養し，日本の文化と社会を相対的にとらえられるようになることが期待される。"

概要:
The course is based on the German textbook “Schritte international 1”, which is adapted for German beginners. At the beginning of the course, the basic rules of the pronunciation of German will be introduced and practiced in the class. The following course content will be organized around three broad topic areas which provide contexts for the acquisition of vocabulary and the study of grammar and sentence structures: (1.) Greetings and Introductions; (2.) Family and Friends; (3.) Eating and Drinking.
授業の進め方・方法:
The course introduces the language for everyday purposes such as introducing oneself, giving greetings, describing everyday life. A variety of classroom activities will be designed for developing four basic skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Students are expected to participate actively in class activities and prepare for lessons before class.
Course materials (handouts and language learning materials) will be distributed in class and available online (on“manaba”).
注意点:
1. The course is taught mainly in German. English and Japanese can be used as auxiliary languages in class.
授業は主にドイツ語で行う。英語および日本語が補助的に用いられることがありうる。
2. Students must have attended at least 2/3 of their classes. Students who miss classes are required to inform themselves about the course content by asking colleagues or contacting the lecturer.
単位修得のためには2/3以上の出席が必須。欠席した場合、当日の授業内容をクラスメートまたは教員に問い合わせて確認しておくこと。
3. Students’ degree of effort, attitude (active or passive), and participation are assessed.
受講生の参加態度も成績評価の対象となる。
4. Chapter Tests will each count 10%, Final Exam will count 30%, Attitude and Class Participation will count 10% and Homework will count 20% of the final grade. Please note that students must achieve at least 18/30 (60%) on the Final Exam and a final grade over 60/100 to get the credit for the course.
総合成績はレッスンごとのテスト（40%）、期末試験（30%）、授業への積極的参加（10%）、宿題（20%）から算出される。単位取得のためには、総合点・期末試験それぞれで60点以上を取ることが必要となる。
5. Homework must be submitted via email or uploaded onto the platform (manaba) by midnight (0:00) before the next class meeting. Submit a Word file with student name and date of assignments (e.g. “Chang1015”). Late homework will not be accepted for any reason.
宿題はe-mailもしくは授業用webサイト（manaba）を使用して、次の授業前日（深夜0時）までに、自分の名前と日付をファイル名とした（例：Chang1015）Wordファイルで提出すること。期限をすぎた宿題は、いかなる理由であっても受理しない。
6. Examinations (Chapter Tests + Final Exam) are conducted online. Students need to be prepared for their online examinations, including having a laptop with a webcam, a headset (an earphone + a microphone), and reliable (high-speed) internet access.
この授業のテスト（レッスンごとのテスト＋期末試験）はオンラインで行うため、受講生にはカメラの付属したパソコンとヘッドセット（イヤフォンとマイクがセットになったもの）、安定したネット回線を用意することが求められる。
