This course improves students' English reading, listening, speaking and writing through comprehensible input and communicative tasks. Input is provided primarily by extensive reading and listening, measured using M-Reader. Immediate, individualised feedback enhances student motivation and makes available numerous opportunities for meaningful communication. Task based activities review basic grammar, and reinforce basic speaking and writing skills.
概要:
The aim of this course is to improve English comprehension and expression using various forms of English discourse ranging from technology, engineering and design to general knowledge of the humanities and our daily lives. This will be achieved through extensive comprehensible input, (extensive reading and listening) a variety of interactive classroom tasks, (pair work, group work, mini-tests, individual presentations) and through homework tasks (including extensive reading and listening. Review of grammar and development of critical thinking skills are central to this course.
授業の進め方・方法:
Students will spend much time doing extensive reading and listening and record their progress using M-Reader quizzes. The teacher will provide immediate feedback in English referencing M-Reader. Most class time will be spent doing communicative tasks relating to description.
