教育方法等
概要:
近年、産業社会のグローバル化が急速に進み、世界中で技術情報の伝達が英語で行われるようになった。技術者にとって、英語の技術文書や論文を正確に理解し、活用する能力は必須である。また、学術交流等の場では、自らの研究成果を英語で発信し、議論を交わす能力が求められている。
本授業では、専門的な文章を正確に読解・要約し、論理的かつ明確に説明するスキルを養う。さらに、英語でのプレゼンテーションを経験することで、国際的な交流の場において適切に情報発信できる力を身につける。
授業の進め方・方法:
The first half of the course plan involves studying frequently used vocabulary, phrases, sentence structures, found in academic papers. The latter half of the course plan involves learning about creating presentations and presentation techniques, and delivering oral presentations and participating in question-and-answer sessions in English.
前半は英語科学技術論文の構成について講義する。後半は英語プレゼンテーションの構成や手法について講義し、実際にプレゼンテーションを作成し、発表を行う。
注意点:
(1) Marking scheme: Assessment comprises 50% coursework (English composition, Homework etc.) and 50% presentation (including presentation slides). 課題50％、プレゼンテーション50%（プレゼンテーション資料含む）で評価する。
(2) Assessment criteria: Evaluation focuses on the fundamental content, comprehension, and basic application of the items listed in the learning objectives. A mark of 60 or above constitutes a pass. 60点以上を合格とする。
(3) Resits: Resits will not be conducted as necessary. 再試験は行わない。
(4) As this course is a learning unit, study outside class hours is required and will be assigned as coursework. As preparatory study, preview the material for the next class session and ensure understanding of English vocabulary and specialised terminology. Practise your presentation. 本科目は学修単位科目であるので、授業時間以外での学修が必要であり、これを課題として課す。 授業の予習・復習、発表練習が必要である。
