Course Objectives
１．英語技能試験であるTOEFL教材を用いて、必要な英語力を身につける。
２．多くの英文に触れ、英文に慣れ親しむ。特に一般的な内容の英文を全員がWPM１２０以上を目指す。
３．毎分１２０語程度で話された身近なことや科学に関することの内容を理解できる。

Assigned Department Objectives
Teaching Method
Outline:
・学期の前半は、TOEFL対策を中心に行う。
・学期の後半は、実践的な場面を想定し、会話の訓練を行う。
・学期を通して速読演習を行う。時間を計測し、伸びを記録する。
Style:
・必ず辞書を持参すること。ただし携帯電話・スマートフォン等を辞書として用いることを禁止する。
・速読演習は欠席等の場合は必ず自宅で行うこと。
・実践英語Ｉ・ＩＩで使用した教科書で指定するページを自宅で行うこと。
Notice:
中間試験・定期試験90%、課題レポート10%を目安として評価する。
再試験は原則として行わない。
評価基準：60点以上を合格とする。
本科目は学修単位であるので、授業時間以外での学修が必要であり、これを課題として課す。自学でNet Academy を進めること。
次回の授業範囲を予習し、単語の意味等を理解しておくこと。 ※変更：期末試験のみ実施。各担当で試験７割、課題２割で各担当成績を９割とし平均し、それにネットアカデミー１割として計算した（学生へは周知済み）。
