教育方法等

概要:
By reading the English passages whose contents are concerned with scientific or engineering topics, students are supposed to enhance the ability to decipher the necessary information from the passages in order to solve the tasks needed. In addition, it is expected that the students will be able to consider and solve the problems which they will encounter in the field of engineering in the future.
授業の進め方・方法:
Background knowledge: Sentence patterns, grammar, and vocabulary learned in junior high school and during the first three years of KOSEN as well as the techniques to use them in simple English expressions.
Lecture room: HR classroom
Course format: Lectures and practice
What students prepare: Textbooks, notebooks, and class handouts
注意点:
Evaluation method: Evaluated based on mid-term exam and final exam conducted in the second semester (90%) and assignments (10%). Passing marks on average are 60 or higher.
Self-assessment guidelines: Review what you learn in class and work on the exercises and assignments that you are given. Be sure to prepare for the next class.
Office hours: Thursdays from 15:30 to 16:30
