The aim of this subject is to give the students a good foundation in the 2 main areas of Business English so that they will gain more confidence when communicating in English. The students will learn basic business speaking and oral presentation skills.

概要:
This subject – Technical English 1 will provide students with fundamental skills required for the business scenes. The focus will be on enhancing the students’ skills in 2 main areas in Business English: speaking and presentation. In addition, students will discuss about emerging technology such as Big Data.
授業の進め方・方法:
Carry out the intensive course at the Singapore Temasek Polytechnic in overseas training travel period. Four days a total of 18 hours.
本科目は海外研修旅行期間中，シンガポールテマセクポリテクニックIIT校において，外国人講師による集中講義を行う．
講義は4日間計１８時間，予習・演習２７時間，計４５時間．

Assessment Scheme: Speaking / Presentation (80% - 40 marks)，Verbal Reflection (20% - 10 marks)
Assessment Methods:
Students will be expected to give a 5 mins oral presentation on a given topic and on their learning process/outcome.

- How to apply what they have learned to a presentation (including a reflection on their learning)
