Course Objectives
1. To improve comprehension, through dictation, by integratively utilising sound, spelling, understanding, and grammar.
2. To improve the listening and reading skills necessary for the TOEIC test.
3. To improve grammatical understanding required by Part 5.

Assigned Department Objectives
Teaching Method
Outline:
The course aims at helping students acquire English proficiency required by the TOEIC test. Listening through dictation, grammar, and reading comprehension will be dealt with as major focuses.
Style:
Class begins with dictation activities of about 20 minute-long, followed by a TOEIC 'mini' test composed of the seven parts. Finally, students work on checking their homework assignments to strengthen grammatical understanding required for Part 5. Assessment will be done based on mid-term and end-of-term examinations.
Notice:
Over 60 points will be the criteria for obtaning credits. Otherwise, students are allowed to take a make-up test on request.
