Course Objectives

Learning purposes :
Through the study of basic Japanese language grammar, students will be able to communicate with people around them in Japanese and develop their Japanese language skills so that they can make their student life at this school fruitful.

Course Objectives :
1. Acquire a basic knowledge of Japanese at the beginner's level.
2. Students will be able to gather simple information and express their thoughts in Japanese.
3. Be able to communicate with people around you in Japanese.
4. Be able to read and write kanji used in daily life.
5. Pass the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N3.

Course outline : This is a Japanese language class for first-year international students. Students learn the basic grammatical items necessary to develop Japanese communication skills that are useful for living in Japan. One of the goals is to be able to express one's thoughts and feelings and the things around them using the Japanese language learned in class and in everyday life. In addition, the aim of this course is to understand Japanese culture and customs through the study of Japanese language.
Style:
Course method : In addition to the textbook, other supplementary materials (workbooks, newspaper and Internet articles) will be used as needed to help students consolidate their knowledge and operational skills. Once students have mastered some of the knowledge, there will be time for output, such as practice presentations, in order to promote their overall growth in Japanese language skills. We will strive to teach and provide information that will make students interested in the Japanese language and Japanese culture, but we also hope that students themselves will take an interest in the Japanese language and Japanese culture in their classes.re useful for living in Japan.
Grade evaluation method : The results of the first and second semester exams (80%), assignments (10%), and attendance (10%) will determine the overall evaluation.
A score of 60 or more is considered a passing grade, and the student will be required to retake the exam if necessary.
Notice:
Precautions on the enrollment : Students must take this class (no more than one-third of the required number of class hours missed) in order to complete the 1st year course.
Course advice : Students should study up to Lesson 30 of "Minna no Nihongo ShokyuⅡ(2nd Edition)" in advance and understand the contents of the study. There is a lot to learn, so students should prepare and review every day. We also want students to have an interest in the Japanese language and culture.
Foundational subjects : Japanese language courses taken in my home country and training to prepare for study abroad.

Attendance advice : If students are late for the start of class, they will be counted as tardy for up to 20 minutes. After that, the student will be marked absent. Actively participate in class and submit assignments on time. Try to look up vocabulary you don't understand. Textbooks and course content may be changed depending on the status of students.
