Course Objectives

Learning purposes: To develop the four skills (listening, reading, writing and speaking) in a balanced manner.

Course outline: The students learn in order of the contents and grammar of a textbook, and perform the expression activities of speaking and writing.

Class outline: Read the material, summarize the gist of it in English, and practice communicating it orally to others.
Style:
Course method: Students read aloud the text, summarize the abstract in English, and present their findings in English.
Grade evaluation method: The results of the 4 regular examinations are averaged out (50%). Students are graded on the basis of the results of the examinations and assignments (50%).
For the final evaluation at the end of the academic year, the results of the above method are added to the final exam, converted to 90%, and the result of TOEIC-LR is added to the evaluation by 10%.
Students are not allowed to bring textbooks and notebooks to the examinations. In some cases, the student may be required to retake the exam.

Precautions: This course is required to be taken in order to complete the course of the academic year.

Course advice: Actively participate in the class and submit the assignments within the deadline. Many prints will be distributed, so prepare your own files. Make sure to perform Note and PowerPoint tasks, including TOEIC tasks, and be sure to meet the deadline. Be aware that English is necessary for your future career. For the TOEIC, listen to the CD repeatedly.
